Anything about snowboarding?

im a first time snowboarder. is there anything i need to know? i've got the snowboard,boots,bindings,some beanies,pants. i already have goggles. i looked on some snowboarding websites and it said something about waxing? can someone explain waxing. any other tools i need to know?
